Goals
Here are my goals for each year. Hopefully by reaching each of these smaller goals, I will get closer to the ultimate goal of being a millionaire!
2009
- Max out the 401k
- Max out both our Roth IRAs (currently at $500)
- Have $15,000 in the emergency fund by the end of the year
- Husband gets a job
Since we only have 2.5 months left in this year, I will leave it at that. Otherwise, it may be a little too ambitious and I don’t want to set myself up for failure. I do have until April 2010 to max out the Roth so that gives us time to build up $10k.
What does this equal?
- $16,500 in the 401k
- $10,000 in the Roth IRA
- adding $9,000 into the emergency fund
$35,500. Wow that’s not bad!
